Chris S wobbling close in on 7.5m and Mark S OK on 7.8m so rigged 144/8.5m hoping to be well powered but wind was light. Planed up Golf, hard getting up wind with nice small swells to ride down, but going out was very bouncy with big board and sail. Fluffed lots of gybes, deck plate slid forward as I was just about the burn Swainey, got caught in current far out and difficulty water starting in currents only to find my harness bar had unlocked, so had to start all over again. Knackered with big cam sail. Eventually figured I was not leaning into gybes enough and holding on the sail too long - just about 3*.
